About Nyasha

Meet Nyasha M. GuramatunhuCooper, PhD

Hi, I’m Nyasha. I’m the founder of Girton Road Leadership Learning & Consulting and a trusted partner to organizations seeking to strengthen leadership at every level. I design and facilitate learning and development solutions that help leaders move with intention, cultivate inclusive practices, and create cultures of belonging. My work emphasizes cultural humility, global mindset, and the application of inclusive leadership to real organizational challenges.

I’ve partnered with organizations across industries to design team retreats, leadership cohorts, and culture-building workshops. Known for creating welcoming and engaging learning spaces, I help participants connect, reflect, and act. In addition to my consulting practice, I contribute to the field of Leadership Development as a volunteer facilitator for the International Leadership Association’s Leadership Education Academy (LEA).

Drawing on more than a decade of experience as a professor of leadership studies, I bring deep expertise in curriculum development, facilitation, and learning design. I’ve taught at Our Lady of the Lake University, Kennesaw State University, Gonzaga University, and Creighton University, earning multiple awards for excellence in teaching, leadership, and service.

Beyond my professional work, I’m an avid traveler and creative entrepreneur. I curate experiences that bring people together around learning, food, and culture. My last name, Guramatunhu—meaning “traveler” in Shona, the language of my home country of Zimbabwe—captures my belief that leadership is an ongoing journey of curiosity, connection, and growth.

Nyasha the Dreamer

I find joy in crafting experiences that inspire kinship and connections, and spark curiosity. Whether designing an event, a space, or a learning experience, I lean into details that create meaning. Travel, music, and good food broaden my perspective, reminding me that dreaming is not just imagining. It’s about making ideas real and inviting others to join the journey.
